PALCO PRINCIPAL

In Palco Principal, the new creation by the SillySeason collective, the focus is on the universe of Chekhov and The Seagull and closes a season of shows that, starting from a classic of European dramaturgy, tend to rescue and inscribe lost narratives in the greatest fiction of all time – History. History is the greatest fiction we’ve ever been told and living it (life and art) is a luxury that only exists for a few of us. Welcome to the stage of tiredness and self-delusion.

Life lives us and we let it live us, which is a way of removing ourselves from the responsibility and tragedy that living implies for all of us.

We give up the stage and life and sit in the audience, not because we don’t like the stage, but because it’s urgent to build a new, more representative and egalitarian stage.
But beware: this is a show to laugh at.
